Mr R T Diggory - Consultant
Surgeon based in UK Telford, Apley centre provides one of
the most individualized, comprehensive long-term aftercare
programs to meet our patient's needs.
All his team are staff members
of Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.
Obesity surgery aftercare is
mainly performed in the private area of the hospital, known
as Apley Ward and Apley Clinic. The private facilities have
the back up of all NHS facilities on site including 24-hour
medical cover.

Nadey S Hakim - Consultant Surgeon..
General, Bariatric and Transplant Surgeon
Nadey S Hakim is a General
and Transplant Surgeon with a particular interest and expertise
in kidney and pancreas transplantation. In addition he is
a Bariatric Surgeon and Fellow of the American Society of
Bariatric Surgeons. He obtained his MD from Paris Rene Descartes
University; and received his surgical training at Guy's
Hospital in London; in addition he has received a PhD in
small bowel transplantation from University College London.
He completed a Gastrointestinal Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic
and a Multiorgan Transplant Fellowship at the University
of Minnesota.

Surgical Director of the West London Transplant Unit based
at the Hammersmith Hospital
- Successfully started the first
Pancreas Transplant Program in the SE of England.
- Editor in Chief of International
Surgery, a prestigious peer reviewed journal and on the
Editorial Board of Transplant Proceedings, Graft,
Experimental and Clinical Transplantation and of
several other journals.
- Member of the Kidney-Pancreas
Committee of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons
(ASTP)
- Past President of Transplantation
Section of the Royal Society of Medicine
- Member of the Working Party
to Review Organ Transplantation in the UK
- Represented Britain in the International
team which has performed the world first arm Transplant
and the world first double arm Transplant.
- To date Prof Hakim has published
over one hundred and fifty peer-reviewed papers and
has written/edited 18 textbooks in the field of Surgery
and Transplantation. He has given numerous presentations
in the UK and throughout the world.
- Awarded an Honorary Professorship
of the University of Sao Paolo, University of Lyon, University
of Lima Peru and University of Beshkent Ankara and has
been a visiting Professor at several prestigious
Institutions including Harvard University.
- Former World President of the International
College of Surgeons based in Chicago and its representative
at the WHO. Prior to his election he has served as First
Vice President and European Federation Secretary of this
College.
- Prof Hakim was recently awarded the
2007 J Wesley Alexander Award for Outstanding Research.

Jane Wilkinson is a theatre
nurse with many years experience, she is able to carry out
lap band refills, blood tests and general checkups associated
with Lap-Bands. She is able and willing to travel and visit
clients at their homes.
