is currently head of General Surgery

gastro intestinal surgeries a year, 900 Bariatric procedures
(Adjustable Laparoscopic Band, (Lap-Band) Laparoscopic
Vertical Banded Gastroplasty (Mac Lean), Laparoscopic
Gastric Bypass, Roux-en-y, Open Gastric Bypass, Laparoscopic
Duodenal switch)
- He holds numerous certifications
for Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery with active participation
at different teaching programs and postgraduate courses
(BGES, IRCAD) for residents and general surgeons
- Dr Dillemans has been recognised
as an “Expert” in teaching services of Advanced
Bariatric Surgery by Tyco Healthcare systems and J &

digestive surgery ‘ for IRCAD (Strasbourg). Recently
Dr Dillemans has performed a number of live television
surgical procedures, including Advanced Laparoscopic Gastric
Bypass, for Bariatric Surgeons worldwide both in Europe
and the Middle East
- He performed the first laparoscopic
gastric bypass in the United Arab Emirates University
hospital, Al Ain and in the Sultanate of Oman Royal Hospital,
Muscat

Laparo-Endoscopic Congress for the Middle East’
in Dubai, May 2006
